„Life is made up of extasy-islands scattered about in the sea of boredom, and we see very little of shore over thirty” – writes in his novel the acclaimed psychiatrist Luke Rhinehart who someday realizes that his life had settled into a rut. He gets fed up with mononotous routine and automatic play-acting and decides to gain his freedom, to leave everything to chance, or rather to dice. He begins exploring various options for roles he should play, and ways he should act. There is no turning back for him after the day of first „Big hit’: he becomes increasingly possessed by the dice and his life turns to an unpredictable and wayward chaos.
